From the depths of the gym,
And back to the block,
It’s that dude Coach J,
Not just some random jock,
Going solo on that grind, but it feels the same,
And Michigan is the spot where I serve the game.

N.W.A. Tip Of The Week
A few weeks back, I heard a quote that has stuck in my craw ever since.
(Do people still use that phrase? I feel like I’m showing my age…)
Chris Williamson is an ex-fitness-pro-turned-podcaster from England.
He was recently on the Joe Rogan Podcast and made the following statement:
Oof… that one got me, and got me good…
Because yep, this is so, so true.
I’ve actually brought this up to my wife before.
When you are a truly disciplined person, at times, you’ll have to deal with the boredom of what that entails.
Every day can feel like Groundhog Day…
If you are disciplined with your fitness, here’s how that looks:
You wake up at the same time.
You eat the same foods in the same portions.
You go to the same gym.
You lift using the same program.
You get the same cardio sessions in.
You go to sleep at the same time.
Booooooor-ing!
If you are disciplined with your career/work/business, here’s how that looks:
Every day, you show up on time.
You sit down and focus intently on the most important things – the pertinent things that must be completed.
If you are a business owner, you often end up doing the same repetitive tasks over and over again.
(Did you know I have posted on social media every single day since 2013, other than Christmases? That’s the only day I truly “ghost” and am not online promoting my business somehow…)
So yes, I understand this TOTALLY.
It is accurate – and correct.
But you know the super crazy part?
It’s literally what you need to do if you want to truly make a remarkable change in your life.
Say you want to lose 75 pounds and gain a bunch of muscle.
That happens from being in a calorie deficit every day.
Eating adequate protein every day.
Strength training at least 3 times per week, every week.
Getting to bed on time.
Reducing alcohol consumption.
And doing that for years to accomplish this goal.
But in a few years?
Things will be different.
Very different.
You will look completely different, and you will be a million times healthier.
Those boring, daily actions you took – every single day for 2 years – will change everything for you.
When I very first started Anyman Fitness, in May of 2013 during my lunch break, I didn’t know what to expect.
I really just wanted to have some fun and help other people.
I remember thinking the entire project would be a wild success if I could pay for a few home repairs with it.
Pretty modest, eh?
By New Year’s 2014, and I had made about $2,500 in the first 7 months I was in business.
I had worked 30 hours per week every week during those 7 months.
Not exactly bucu-bucks here…
I was working for minimum wage…
But it was a start, and I kept saying to myself, “You know what, the only goal is to do better next year… let’s see what Year 2 brings…”
I continued to be obsessive about it.
I posted every day.
Wrote articles every day.
Helped others for free every day.
It was like Groundhog Day… every day, I did the work, rain, snow, sleet, or shine…
About halfway through the year, I had made about $10 grand.
Not too shabby!
But then, all of a sudden, things caught fire.
Word started to spread.
The referrals started coming, and people started talking.
By the end of year 2, I ended up making $35 grand in total.
“Oh wow… I think I may just have something here…” I said to myself…
Things just snowballed from there.
I kept putting out content.
Blogs turned into videos.
Videos turned into X threads.
X threads turned into newsletters.
Things changed, but I just kept at it, and kept doing my thing, trying new ways to help people along the way.
Fast forward about 12 years.
By the end of this year, Anyman Fitness will eclipse the $5 million in total lifetime revenue mark.
I honestly cannot believe I just typed that sentence.
It feels like a fever dream, like an alternate reality coming true.
You know why that happened?
Because I was good at it, sure.
Because I enjoy doing it, yep.
Because I had some luck along the way, you betcha.
But another reason why it happened is because I relentlessly put out social media content and newsletter content every single day/week without fail and have done so for 14 years.
Even when I don’t feel like it.
Even when I’m sick.
Hell, even when I’m in the hospital.
(I swear to you, I once went into the ER for a heart issue and told my wife to go get my laptop… shit maybe that’s a sign lol).
Anywho, this isn’t to brag.
You could do the same thing if you really wanted to.
With your health or your career.
But to do something really special, you have to be willing to be obsessed and do the little things no one else wants to do – for a very long time.
There is really no other way.
If you’ve been struggling to reach your fitness goals for years, why haven’t you joined my team yet?
Brian took the plunge… he dropped 60 pounds and his wife dropped 30.
I have some spots open on my 1:1 roster if you’d like to chat…

More AF Content From Around the Web:
The biggest reason “low carb” dieting works is because it eliminates 95% of junk food.
The same thing would happen if you went “low fat”, too, for the same reason.
Either approach can work, but neither approach is special in any way, other than eliminating unnecessary calories.
I hope you enjoyed this edition of the Anyman Fitness N.W.A. Newsletter.
I’ll be back next week.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
