Nowadays everybody wanna lift like they got somethin’ to build,
But nothin’ gets big when they get to the gym,
Just a bunch of jibberish,
And everyone acts like they forgot about gains.

Without any further ado, let’s get started..
N.W.A. Tip Of The Week
Back when I weighed 300 pounds, I tried a lot of (stupid) “hacks” in an attempt to get healthy.
I tried to eat nothing but small meals all day long in an attempt to increase my metabolism.
I tried long, extended fasts of 24 hours and beyond to try to “raise my growth hormone levels”.
I tried putting coconut oil in my coffee in the morning to “fight inflammation”.
I tried eliminating all carbs because “insulin is a storage hormone and you can’t lose weight when your insulin levels are raised”.
At the time, I didn’t understand nutrition and the way fat loss worked.
But these “hacks” were buzzwords at the time; they were all over social media and in various blog posts around the internet.
Influencers were swearing up and down these “hacks” would make you healthy, and lose weight quickly.
Did they work?
Meh.
It was marginal at best.
Eating small meals all day long didn’t do anything but make me hungry and unsatisfied.
Long fasts did help with fat loss – I won’t lie. But they left me with low energy and muscle loss.
Putting oil in my coffee… that one didn’t do a damn thing.
Actually, I take that back – it stalled my fat loss progress.
Once I wised up, and realized eating more calories never results in “more fat loss”, my results got better.
Who knew?
Eating no carbs did help me lose weight as well.
But I was absolutely miserable while doing it.
I couldn’t eat the foods I enjoyed.
I became hyper-obsessed with my food selection and developed an unhealthy fear of anything with even a gram of carbs.
I lost significant strength in the gym and my performance suffered.
I lost my libido and my testosterone tanked.
But hey!
I was skinny, so… it’s a win? I guess?
It took me 2 years of trying various protocols, health hacks, and trendy gimmicks before I realized a truly game changing fact:
Avoiding the hard work will make getting proper results take much longer than just sucking it up and doing what you need to do.
In short, the hard work is the shortcut.
All of the “hacks” I had tried were because I didn’t want to track my food intake.
Deep down, I knew I should be meal planning.
I knew I should be tracking my macronutrients.
I knew I should be paying close attention to how many calories, and how much protein I was eating.
I was just being lazy.
I wanted an easier way.
So I hopped from hack to hack, in search of the answer that was right in front of me all along.
Eventually, I tired of these silly hacks and gimmicks.
I got frustrated, and I went “all in”.
I started planning my meals in advance.
I tracked my calories, protein, and macros closely.
I ate 3 meals per day.
I ate carbohydrates daily.
I ate the foods I loved.
I finally started focusing on The Big Rocks of Fitness.
And my results exploded as a result; I finally ended up with that ever-elusive 6 pack I had been fighting for.
I also learned that “hacks” don’t do shit except for make your results take longer to achieve.
The truth is, exceptional results are the product of doing the boring, mundane, simple actions every day most people don’t want to do.
The truth is, if you want to get the best possible results in the shortest amount of time, buck up and start tackling the hard work head on.
The faster you do this, the faster you’ll get the results you’re after.
No “hacks” required.
