On the 3rd day of Christmas, my homeboys gave to me,

Three pounds of indo, Two birds of cocaine, And an a… mutha****in K,

B*TCH

– Eazy-E (probably)

(Sorry for the explicit lyrics on this one… but come on, it’s the Christmas season and this was my favorite holiday song when I was 13 lol…)

If you wish, you can grab the N.W.A. Newsletter Playlist on Spotify here, all of the songs that have been featured in the newsletter are on the playlist.

Happy Friday, Coach J here from Anyman Fitness – and welcome to the latest edition of The N.W.A. Newsletter.

Each week with the N.W.A. Newsletter, I give you the best Nutrition, Weightlifting, and/or Attitude advice for you to start to use in your life today.

Tens of thousands of people have used this exact newsletter to gain muscle, lose fat, and become a better version of themselves…

Without any further ado, let’s get started..

N.W.A. Tip Of The Week

Did you enjoy yesterday?

I know I sure did.

My daughters are 13 and 15.

They don’t believe in Santa anymore, but they’re great kids who are family oriented and really get into the spirit.

My parents came up to visit from Cincinnati, and my in-laws came over as well.

Our Christmas routine is pretty simple – cinnamon rolls, bacon, eggs, and pancakes for breakfast around 11.

Then, I usually nip on a white Russian or two and we play some card games (Phase 10 and Spoons are both favorites of our family).

Then, it’s time to make the feast.

Bake some cookies.

And just enjoy ourselves.

Fun Fact – Christmas Day is the only day of the year I don’t open up my laptop.

I look forward to it every year and cherish every moment.

I’m looking at my girls at this point and thinking “Man… we don’t have too many of these left while they’re under our roof…”

I left home at 18 to do my own thing.

I still had Christmases at home, but it was different.

I was a visitor, and after Christmas, I left and went back to my new home.

I’m really soaking it up – I understand reality is, that will be the stage of life we will be in before long.

Empty nesters.

Time rich, with a house that is quieter than it’s been in years.

Oh wait, this newsletter is about fitness… I forgot, my bad…

Yeah… bacon and eggs and pancakes and cinnamon rolls.

Christmas cookies and white Russians and pork loins and mashed potatoes and cheesecake (a Christmas staple).

Needless to say… I didn’t stick to my diet yesterday…

BUT… Christmas is over.

It’s done.

And it’s time to turn the page.

I don’t expect my clients to adhere to their macros on the holidays.

Some do.

But most don’t.

And that’s okay.

When you’re in your big, stinky diaper reflecting back on your life, you won’t say “Gosh, I wish I had hit my macros better on Christmas Day 2025”.

So, expecting you to do so is silly.

But today isn’t Christmas.

Today is a normal Friday.

So listen carefully…

If you let Christmas turn into a pig-fest for the next week, you will gain a substantial amount of weight.

You’ll set yourself backwards big time.

It’s a myth that fitness pros nail their macros on the actual holidays themselves.

They don’t.

They have fun, just the same as anyone else.

The difference is the fitness pros immediately turn the page and don’t let one day of fun turn into a week or more.

They head into the gym to smash the weights and turn that extra food into gains.

They stick with their healthy habits.

They feel no guilt about what happened on Christmas, they just move on and pretend like it didn’t happen.

THAT is the lesson for today.

No one expects you to be perfect.

Nobody is perfect.

But when you mess up, or intentionally have a “fun Christmas” diet wise, have your fun, then immediately turn the page.

Oh yeah – hope you and your family had a Merry Christmas.

I know mine did!

While it’s true you can build muscle at home, unless you’re really dedicated to it, you should join a gym instead.

Lots of guys out there saying “I’ll just do push ups every day” and by Week 2, they ain’t doing shit.

There’s something about the gym that can’t be replaced…
