At night I can’t sleep, I toss and turn,
Having dreams at night, visions of workouts being earned.

N.W.A. Tip Of The Week
It’s been super interesting to watch GLP-1’s take over the medical world, and the fitness landscape.
For years, fitness coaches have said things like “Oh, you just want a pill, don’t you?” all snarky-like.
And the answer was a huge yes.
I mean… of course it was.
I have a number of friends who are doctors.
A common complaint is that doctors are reactive, and not proactive.
They will prescribe you a pill for your high blood pressure, your elevated A1C, and to thin your blood, but they will rarely tell you the obvious – that you need to exercise and lose weight.
While this may be true in some cases, most doctors understand what the patient should do.
But they know 99% of them won’t do it.
So, a pill it is – a pill has a near 100% compliance rate, unlike diet and exercise.
It’s not a mystery why GLP-1’s are so popular.
Did you know for the last 2 years, America’s obesity rate has actually gone down for the first time in about 50 years?
That’s not because everyone is finally hitting the gym and eating more protein…
But the (even more) interesting part of all of this are the complete obliteration of 2 fitness myths that used to be commonplace on social media.
The first is the myth that “calories don’t matter” and “I can’t lose weight because of my hormones”.
As soon as GLP-1’s became common practice, the obesity rate went down.
People ate less.
And they lost weight.
While that might be reductionist (hormones can affect fat loss rates and metabolism), that’s besides the point.
All of a sudden, GLP-1’s reduced appetite and “food noise” inside people’s heads.
Granted, one of the reasons why people ate less food is because of the nasty side effects of taking too much.
Nausea and a complete loss of appetite is a real problem on these drugs.
The clients I have who use them have the literal opposite problem they used to have – I have to constantly be on them to eat ENOUGH protein and food to ensure they’re not malnourished.
The second myth GLP-1’s destroyed is the “Health At Every Size” movement (or the “I’m obese and I’m still beautiful” mindset).
It’s funny… so many of the Hollywood celebrity types who used to make these claims all of a sudden are a size 2.
I haven’t seen a single post promoting “HAES” or “beauty standards”.
Singers like Lizzo and Adele are now living life at a very low body fat percentage (which often falls into the unhealthy range, to be honest).
It just goes to show you, all of that “self love” talk was just a coping mechanism.
If it wasn’t, they never would have started trying to lose weight in the first place.
I’ve been asked before if I thought GLP-1’s were going to “put me out of business”.
The answer to that is a huge no.
In 2025, I worked with more 1:1 clients than I ever have in my career.
And 2026 is off to a great start as well.
Even if you DO use GLP-1’s, you need to be careful.
If you’re undereating…
Or in too big of a deficit…
Or you’re not strength training…
You are going to completely wreck your metabolism, and lose a load of skeletal muscle.
You still need to have a solid fitness regimen in order to actually be healthier once you lose all the weight.
1:1 coaching spots for 2026 are filling up quickly.
If you’re serious about nabbing one, I’d recommend applying for a spot here soon…
Here’s an example from a recent 1:1 client who lost 53 pounds in my program:
