Happy Friday, Coach J here from Anyman Fitness – and welcome to the latest edition of The N.W.A. Newsletter.

Each week with the N.W.A. Newsletter, I give you the best Nutrition, Weightlifting, and/or Attitude advice for you to start to use in your life today.

Tens of thousands of people have used this exact newsletter to gain muscle, lose fat, and become a better version of themselves…

Without any further ado, let’s get started..

N.W.A. Tip Of The Week

Before I begin today’s newsletter, I need to get this out of the way:

I am not a Doctor, nor do I endorse doing anything health related without doing your OWN research first.

I’m just a fitness coach who tries things out, and shares his experiences with you – nothing more.

Please consult your personal Doctor before starting any medication or health program.

Okay… hopefully that will keep the litigation to a minimum (LOL).

Tadalafil, common name Cialis, has been gaining steam in the fitness world as being a “wonder drug”.

Yep, that’s right – the “boner pill” – Cialis.

Tadalafil is a “PDE-5” inhibitor.

A PDE0-5 inhibitor works by increasing blood flow via relaxation of your arteries.

With your arteries slightly relaxed, you will get more blood flow to your body.

This is why Tadalafil is often prescribed for men with erectile dysfunction – increased blood flow to the genitals will help with sexual performance.

But interestingly enough, Tadalafil also has a few other benefits other than just blood flow.

First, it lowers your blood pressure.

If your blood vessels are a little bit wider, your blood pressure will drop a bit.

For this reason, never take Tadalafil if you are already taking blood pressure lowering medications, blood thinners, or nitrates.

Doing so can cause an unhealthy drop.

Second, it helps protect you against prostate cancer, a killer for many men.

High blood pressure and prostate problems run hand in hand; with a lowered blood pressure reading, the likelihood you’ll get prostate cancer drops like a rock.

For decades, hard core “lifter bros” who were on Cialis noticed something else, though…

With the increased blood flow all around the body, when they lifted weights, they realized they got a wicked pump.

This makes sense.

Many pre-workout supplements essentially try to do this already – anything with nitrates, or sometimes beet juice or beet juice powder claim to have artery relaxing-benefits that will be pump inducing as well.

Recently, studies have been coming out showing taking Cialis (or perhaps Viagra) have been linked to longer lifespans in general.

It seems the blood pressure lowering drugs have “accidentally” caused healthier outcomes for their users.

Again, this makes sense – high blood pressure is the “silent killer”, after all.

I started experimenting with Tadalafil about a year ago.

I had read of its benefits, and had an appointment with my DO and asked him about it.

He said taking a low dose daily was very safe, and he was happy to write me a prescription for it.

A low, daily dose of Cialis is anywhere from 2.5 – 5 mg per day.

I personally take 5 each day every morning when I wake up.

This keeps the medication steady in my bloodstream 24/7.

This also ensures I don’t take too much, and experience any negative side effects (headaches, lower back aches, and stuffed noses are common side effects until you get used to the medication).

I’ve noticed a number of obvious health benefits.

Much improved workouts.

Quicker recovery between sets.

Yes, a “wicked pump” when I’m lifting.

More vascularity in my arms and legs (veins stick out).

I’ve also noticed a few other things as well…

Apparent increase in testosterone (haven’t had it tested yet – could be a placebo).

Improved digestion.

Lowered anxiety/stress levels.

More focus (increased blood flow to the brain).

Better sleep at night.

As with anything, please do your own research.

Never take a supplement or medication without discussing it with your Doctor first, and being sure it’s something you want to do.

But anecdotally, I love the effects of 5 daily mg of Tadalafil, and I will continue taking it from here on out.
